Paris, France
The origins of Paris, France’s name is attributed to the occupants of Gaul, who were known as the Parisii. In fact, during the first to sixth century of Gaul's Roman occupation, Paris was originally called Lutetia Parisiorum, or "Lutetia of the Parisii". However, during the reign of Julian the Apostate (355-363), aka Julian the Philosopher, the city was official dubbed Paris.
