Yamhill Valley, Oregon
In the 19th century, as Indian folklore reveals, Yamhill is believed to have been the white settler’s name for the Kalapuya, a tribe of Native Americans who populated the valley. Today, Yamhill Valley, Oregon is categorized as the northern most area of the Willamette Valley, a highly acclaimed wine country. Yamhill Valley begins just thirty miles outside of Portland, Oregon and is now home to over eighty premier vineyards.
