Cody, Wyoming
In 1895, the famed William “Buffalo Bill” Cody founded Cody, Wyoming. Buffalo Bill saw the potential in Cody as a prime tourist destination for the steady stream of Yellow Stone National Park visitors. Between 1902 and 1905, Buffalo Bill, the American Old West icon, Medal of Honor recipient and seasoned showman, entered the hospitality industry, building several hotels and a dude ranch in Cody.
