Cancun, Mexico
In 1967, Cancun, Mexico’s location was carefully selected by Banco de México, in the hopes of developing a popular international tourist destination. Although some still believe that Cancun’s location was chosen by a computer, this ideal vacation spot was purposefully selected after a great deal of methodical research. In 1970, Isla Cancun had only three residents. Today, just as Banco de México’s research had concluded, Cancun, Mexico is a most highly desired vacation destination, attracting tourists from around the world.
