Hit Parade
Hit Parade is a term for songs that had a height of popularity during a qualified period of time. The term Hit Parade was initially used on the radio and television show "Your Hit Parade", 1935-1959. On Saturday nights, "Your Hit Parade’s" orchestra and singers presented the top selling songs for the week. After the show was cancelled, the term Hit Parade went on to title another radio music show that featured hit songs, singers and bands.
