Debbie Gibson: New York City, New York
Born in Brooklyn, Deborah Gibson, a musical prodigy, made it big in the music industry as a Pop Princess, followed by her triumphant return home to New York City to conquer The Broadway Stage. At the tender age of 16, Debbie was the youngest female to ever write, produce, and perform a No. 1 Top 40 Hit with her song "Foolish Beat" - a record which still holds today in The Guinness Book of World Records. Undoubtedly, her early successes generated a passion to mentor and foster young performers and songwriters, leading her to create "Deborah Gibson’s Electric Youth," a series of performing arts camps and songwriting/recording intensives. With Gibson's stellar career as leading lady on Broadway, film and television, this charismatic entertainer continues to embodie the mark of a true artist. To date, Gibson has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide. Look for Debbie as she joins the cast of "The Celebrity Apprentice" - Sundays at 9/8c on NBC!
