Angela Ruggiero: Boston, Massachusetts
Angela Ruggiero, a four-time Ice Hockey Olympic medalist (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), graduated cum laude from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ruggiero’s career as an ice hockey defenseman has had many unprecedented firsts. Foremost, she was a NCAA First Team Academic All-American, USA's Women's Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004, as well as first woman non-goalie to play professional men's hockey in North America. In addition to her stellar career on the ice, Angela appeared on season six of NBC's hit show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Like a true champion, "Angela impressed Donald Trump, and although she did not become the official "Apprentice," he did offer her a job." Angela, however, decided to decline Mr. Trump’s generous offer, setting set her sights on the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
