Kojii Helnwein: Dublin, Ireland

Kojii-Modelina.com/Article: Ashley M. Wells

Dublin is the birthplace of Irish beauty Kojii Helnwein, who appeared on the hit TV series “Project Runway 6”, and its companion show “Models of the Runway.” Based in Los Angeles, Kojii got her first “walking” lesson (from an enthusiastic homeless transvestite in Whicata, Kansas), and has gone on to walk the runways of Prada, John Rocho, Jimmy Choo, and “Project Runway 3” winner, Jeffrey Sebelia. Her unique beauty has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Vogue, while also appearing in campaigns for Ed Hardy, Gap, and Target. Modeling is just a day job for Kojii, who not only walks but also rocks, as lead singer of her eponymous “punked-up quartet”. “Kojii”, the band, is known for its hardcore sound and burlesque-style performances, and Kojii’s musical swagger has earned her comparisons to Blondie. When not on the catwalk or the stage, Kojii spends time with her husband, fine-art photographer Cyril Helnwein, and their daughter, Croi, at Helnwein Castle in Tipperary, Ireland.
