Darryl Worley: Savannah, Tennessee

Darryl Worley-Sounds Like Life To Me

Darryl Worley’s passion for the Tennessee River, that rolls through his hometown of Savannah, Tennessee, is not only reflected in his country songs, but also in this famed artist’s philanthropic endeavors. A lifelong community member of Hardin County, Darryl was always musical - his grandfather played old country and bluegrass on the banjo and his mother sang in church. Now, with the 2009 release of his sixth album, Sounds Like Life, with over fifteen chart topping hits to his credit, nearly two million records sold, nominations for five major ACM and CMA awards, including "Song of the Year," as well as writing credits for other major artists, including George Jones, Darryl Worley “reasserts himself as one of country’s true creative forces!” Moreover, Darryl’s Tennessee River Run is an annual music charity event throughout Tennessee, and he continues to support the troops – having recently returned from Iraq with his Stars For Stripes military tour.
