Kate Royal: London, England

A Lesson In Love-EMI

Soprano and award-winning opera singer Kate Royal may not be a member of England’s royal family, but she has a voice that is supremely regal. The sexy siren is an EMI Classics recording artist, who makes her home in London with her husband, British heartthrob Julian Ovenden, an accomplished singer and actor (“Any Human Heart”-PBS). When Kate is not recording classic works such as Midsummer Night or Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, she is performing with acclaimed international symphonies and operas including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Royal Opera. A favorite of famed British conductor Sir Simon Rattle, featured on Paul McCartney’s recording of Ecce Cor Meum, as well as the 2007 Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award winner, Kate’s star status continues to climb. Moreover, in the spring of 2011, Ms. Royal made her highly anticipated debut with The Metropolitan Opera, starring in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. Kate’s love of diverse music also includes fellow distinguished British artists, music legends The Kinks, and iconic songstress Kate Bush. With Kate Royal the British Invasion continues!
