Chaske Spencer: New York City, New York
Chaske Spencer/Russell Baer

Emerging actor, Chaske Spencer, was raised on Indian Reservations in Montana and Idaho, and, as a child, initially dreamt of becoming a photographer - making the move to New York City to chase his dream. In New York, Chaske first debuted in the title role of an off-off-Broadway production of Dracula, and soon thereafter did a number of New York Theatre pieces at The Public Theater and The Roundabout as well. Then, in 2002, the rising star was discovered by casting director Rene Haynes, and appeared in the acclaimed film Skins with Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves), which lead to roles in Dreamkeeper, and the Steven Spielberg mini-series Into the West. However, Chaske is certainly best known for starring as the head of the wolf pack, Sam Uley, in the blockbuster hit films The Twilight Saga, with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 opening November 16th. Fans can look for much more from Chaske Spencer, who will showcase his exceptional talents in the lead role of ‘Virgil First Raise,’ with award-winning actor David Morse (The Hurt Locker), in the 2012 indie film Winter in the Blood.
