What is your favorite word to describe Los Angeles?

Electric. But really any word besides "sprawling" will do. It's become such a cliché. I think we need to create a drinking game around it.

What word best reflects the people of Los Angeles?

Driven. Los Angeles is not a city for the lazy. It's expensive to live in a vibrant city that offers incredible weather year-round and so many killer career opportunities. If you want to cut it in the City of Angels, you have to embrace the hustle.

What is the most creative, spiritual or emotional place in Los Angeles?

The beach. We have 75 miles of coastline in Los Angeles County, and it seems like just about every Angelino can feel at home watching the sun set against the Pacific. Families picnic together and build fortresses in the sand. Spontaneous yoga classes break out. Newbies catch their first wave and get hooked for life.

What is your favorite outdoor activity in Los Angeles?

Hiking Solstice Canyon in Malibu and grabbing fish tacos at Lilly's Café or a beer at Neptune's Net afterward. Boating, parasailing, biking along the beach and surfing are also pretty high on my list.

What is your favorite indoor activity in Los Angeles?

If you want to have one of the wackiest experiences Los Angeles has to offer, take Richard Simmons' aerobic class at Slimmons Studio in Beverly Hills. His Saturday class is comprised of hipsters in 80s workout gear, gay men in deep V-necks and middle-aged women, all doing bizarre, and sometimes inappropriate, dance moves. At the end of the class, Richard poses for pictures so that everyone can walk out with a sweaty, new profile pic.

What is your favorite sound or noise in Los Angeles?

The cacophony of applause, cheers and screams after a band plays the Hollywood Bowl in the summertime.

What is your favorite smell or taste in Los Angeles?

My favorite smell might be the combination of kimchee, cilantro and grease pumping out of one of chef Roy Choi's Kogi food trucks. My favorite taste is a tie: the Burrata di Puglia appetizer at Mario Batali's Osteria Mozza in West Hollywood and the Butterscotch Pot de Crème at Gjelina on Venice's Abbot Kinney.

What drink best reflects Los Angeles?

A Moscow Mule (vodka and cold ginger beer). It's fresh, a little spicy, just sweet enough and comes in a distinctive copper mug that screams "I'm not like everyone else."

What song or type of music best reflects Los Angeles?

Each neighborhood seems to gravitate toward its own sound, whether that's hip hop, slacker jams, EDM or salsa.

If Heaven were Los Angeles, what would God say to a visitor when they arrive at the Pearly Gates?

Make sure you read all of the parking signs.
