Joanna Zeiger-Swimming and Triathlon
"I am sports fanatic and I love the Olympics! I cannot wait to watch the triathlon events as well as swimming, cycling and track and field.”
Two-time Olympian, triathlete Joanna Zeiger is a force to be reckoned with--she excels at all facets of the sport as well as all distances, winning races in the Olympic, Half Ironman, and Ironman events. Zeiger is also multi-sport Olympic trial qualifier, in triathlon but also the marathon and swimming events. Moreover, in 2000, Joanna won Triathlete of the Year for her fourth-place Olympic finish in Sydney, and captured fifth at the Hawaii Ironman Championship and a USA Pro Champion victory that same year. Zeiger also aims to become the first woman to win a World Championship at the age of 40, and launched her “Fast at 40” campaign. Zeiger hopes to use her success to teach and inspire others, so they can believe they can excel at any age.
