Sun Valley Center for the Arts’ Wine Tasting Extravaganza
Sun Valley Center for the Arts’ Wine Tasting Extravaganza is a day of mix and mingling with fellow wine lovers during the premier summer Wine Auction weekend in the resort community of Sun Valley, Idaho. Under the Big Tent at Sun Valley Resort’s Dollar Mountain, renowned guest vintners and winemakers pour some of their finest releases—both classic vintages and recent bottlings—and are more than happy to answer any questions patrons have. Wine Spectator magazine has frequently ranked the weekend as one of the top 10 charity wine auctions in the country, with all proceeds supporting Sun Valley Center for the Arts’ programs, educational outreach and a scholarship fund.

Atkinsons’ Market’s Sun Valley Center for the Arts Wine Auction lot featured seven fabulous, coveted Northwest wines, including: Côte Bonneville by DuBrul Vineyard, L’Ecole N° 41, Leonetti Cellar by Figgins Family Wine Estates, and Woodward Canyon. Moreover, the lot was designed by Sharon and Tom Pyle and based on artwork created by local artist Kerrin McCall. The 18th edition of the Atkinsons’ lot is called “First Light, Take Flight,” and the bottles were sandcarved and hand-painted by the talented artists of Fresh Northwest Design of Gig Harbor, Washington. The high bidder also won an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over Boise, Idaho.
