Family of Woman Film Festival's Opening Night-'Saving Face' Screening
The Family of Women Film Festival, held each March in Sun Valley, Idaho, celebrated its 5th year with a sellout opening night crowd at Sun Valley Resort’s historic Opera House for the 2012 Academy Award-winning Documentary, Saving Face. Presented in support of the United Nations Population Fund, the festival screened 4 additional films over the 4-day event, including: ‘Boxing with Her’ (Tunisia), ‘Cairo’ (Egypt), ‘Salaam Dunk’ (Iran) and ‘The Price of Sex’ (Eastern Europe). This year’s annual benevolent event also featured special talks and appearances by international hosts Sherin Saadallah, UNFPA Regional Advisor for Arab States, and Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, the Executive Director of UNFPA , and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
